Privacy Policy for Webforms

The School for Social Entrepreneurs – Ontario (SSE-O) is committed to protecting the confidentiality and privacy of the information collected on the users of our webforms. SSE-O’s webforms use Infinity Box’s data storage, databases, and Wufoo website for the collection and management of user information.

Following the principles of Privacy by Design (PbD), we have embedded privacy protection right into our technology and business practices. Below we outline what information we collect and why, and how we use, disclose, and safeguard the information collected on the users of our webforms. By using the SSE-O website, you are consenting to this privacy policy, and to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information by SSE-O as outlined in this Privacy Policy. We may update the Privacy Policy from time to time without prior notice. Users are responsible for periodically reviewing the most current version of this document on the SSE-O website.

1. We only collect information required for the operation of our webforms.

Information collected through SSE-O webforms is primarily collected to meet ongoing SSE-O business requirements (e.g. responding to inquiries received online) and reporting requirements to our stakeholders (e.g. reporting on number of student application inquiries in a given year; donor information for our tax authority filings, etc.). In order to qualify users to access our webforms, we first require users to register and establish a record on the SSE-O site by providing basic information including name, phone number, and e-mail address. We may use the basic personal information we collect to provide users with information on the School’s activities as well as educational and other special events that we believe may be of interest to our users.

2. Information is only used for the purposes for which it is collected.

We will only use or disclose your personal information for the stated purposes for which it was collected, unless you give us consent to use or disclose it for another reason, or unless we are required by law to disclose personal information without consent or if we are requested by regulatory bodies to disclose information. Also, we do not sell or rent your information to third parties for marketing purposes; however, we may use your personal information to send you third-party news or opportunities which we think you may find interesting.

3. We safeguard and limit access to information collected.

All the information we collect online is electronically stored and protected by Infinity Box through its Wufoo website. For the security measures used by Infinity Box, please refer to www.wufoo.com/security/.

Only authorized SSE-O staff members have access to the information collected through the webforms. SSE-O staff are obligated to protect the privacy of information collected through webforms under their terms of employment with Housing Services Corporation (HSC).

4. We exercise best efforts to ensure the most accurate information on the users of webforms.

We are committed to keeping all account and access information available on the users of our webforms as accurate, complete, and up-to-date as reasonably possible, based on the most recent information provided to us from these users. Users are responsible for informing SSE-O of any change in this information, including their contact information as well as information gathered through the webform access requirements.

5. We dispose of stored information when no longer required for our business purposes.

Information collected through webforms is stored only until it is needed for the purposes of performing our business operations and meeting regulatory requirements. When electronically stored information is no longer required for conducting our operations or for meeting regulatory purposes, we delete the information from our computer systems.
